Privacy policy

This is the privacy policy of student party Progressive Student Alliance (‘PSA’), located in Tilburg. PSA respects the privacy of its members and other participants. In addition, it ensures that the personal information you provide to PSA is treated confidentially. Therefore, we have set out in this policy what rights you have and how your personal data is handled. Usage of data

PSA uses your data for various purposes. Your personal data is stored for administrative purposes. This includes the (online) registration form for joining the associations, as well as the registration form for the activities organized by PSA. Your data is also used to send digital messages and mail. Member data is only used for the purpose for which PSA has obtained it.

Legal basis

The basis for processing personal data is the agreement you enter into with PSA at the start of your membership. Data is also processed if you enter into an agreement to attend our activities.

Retention periods

Below is an overview per retention period:

  • Regular membership: for the duration of the membership

  • Termination of membership: start of the new PSA association year

  • Registration for activities: start of the new PSA association year

  • Financial administration: statutory period of seven years

Recipients

Third parties with whom an agreement has been concluded receive the personal data if this is necessary for participation in the activity. The membership administration is maintained by the secretary of PSA. The accounting is maintained by the treasurer of PSA.

Provision of personal data to third parties

Without your consent, PSA will only provide data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement that PSA has with you, unless the association is legally obliged to provide the personal data to third parties.

Access, correction, and deletion of personal data

You can access the personal data that PSA processes about you. You can also request that your data be corrected or deleted if necessary, based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can do this by sending an email to: psatilburg@gmail.com.

Rights under the GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access to the exact personal data that PSA has recorded about you in the system;

  • Receiving an explanation of what personal data PSA records and what PSA does with this personal data;

  • Having any errors in the personal data corrected;

  • Have outdated personal data deleted;

  • Withdraw consent;

  • Object to the use of certain personal data.

If you wish to make use of one of the above points, please ensure that you always clearly state who you are. PSA will then verify this. Only then will the personal data be deleted.

Security of personal data

PSA takes appropriate measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorized access, publication, and unlawful processing. Only persons for whom this is necessary have access to your data.

Minors

If you wish to register as a minor, you must obtain explicit permission from your parent(s)/guardian.

Links to other websites

The PSA website may contain links to other websites. This policy only applies to the PSA website. Other websites may have their own privacy policies. PSA recommends that you always consult the privacy policy of the relevant website before using other websites.

Changes to the privacy policy

PSA keeps its privacy policy up to date by reviewing it regularly. The most recent version will be posted on the PSA website PSATilburg.org. PSA therefore recommends that you consult the privacy policy regularly.

Complaints with regards to the processing of your personal data

PSA is happy to help you if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data. Under the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) about the processing of your personal data by PSA. You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority for this purpose via their website: www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
